Buffalo Arts Studio was the first major tenant in the rehabilitated vacant TriMain complex and has helped to enrich this previously underserved area by developing an exciting cultural environment that benefits regional artists while investing in the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Encompassing over 20,000 square feet of space, Buffalo Arts Studio includes two 1,400 square foot galleries and a 1,100 square foot Community Space. Buffalo Arts Studio is accessible by multiple freight elevators and supported by industrial maintenance staff and equipment. Exhibiting artists are encouraged to pursue ambitious, site-specific installations that utilize these assets.

Buffalo Arts Studio’s exhibition program focuses on new works by emerging and established regional artists that critically address contemporary issues. Buffalo Arts Studio’s internationally recognized exhibitions program includes 8-12 solo and/or group exhibitions attracting over 20,000 visitors annually.

The Exhibition Program reflects the belief that artists and curators can effect change through purposeful collaborations that balance artistic innovation and creative impulse with community concerns. A series of gallery exhibitions, artist residencies, community forums, and public art projects will be curated with the intent to not only display powerful visual statements, but also spur dialogue between varied audiences and to open doors to social, economic, environmental, and representational justice. The program is also invested in amplifying marginalized voices, including LGBTQIA+, refugee, and ethnic minority communities, through its diverse programming.

Guided gallery and studio tours are available for the general public, with a suggested donation of $3 per person.
