Artist Reception, Saturday, December 7, 2024, 5:00 – 9:00 pm

The Annual Studio Artist Show and Sale showcases the work of Buffalo Arts Studio’s 30 Studio Artists who actively maintain working studios within the 20,000 square foot art center in Suite 500 of Tri-Main Center. Each studio is unique and offers visitors a glimpse into the creative process central to making engaging artwork. The Annual Studio Artist Show and Sale features over 100 pieces of original artwork exhibited in the galleries including paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, and more. Many studios will also have work on display and nearly all of it can be purchased right off the wall and taken home with our guests.

Buffalo Arts Studio’s Studio Artists include Beth Atanacio, Jozef Bajus, Madeline Bartley, Dennis Bertram, Kaylee Blesy, Julia Bottoms, David Buck, Tricia Butski, Claudia Carballada, Patrick Foran, Allan Hebeler, Bryan Hopkins, Cheryl Jackson, Erin Kearney, Elizabeth Leader, George Mai, Aprille Nace, Roberto Pacheco, Andrea Pawarski, Betty Pitts Foster, Rebecca Schwarzberg, Kathleen Sherin, Deb Stewart, Ann Stievater, Nancy Thayer, Phyllis Thompson, Linda Toomey, Katie Virag and Muhammad Z. Zaman.

In addition to the artists housed in Buffalo Arts Studio Suite 500 and 506, seven additional studio spaces on the fifth floor of Tri-Main Center will also be open to the public. Just outside of Buffalo Arts Studio in Suite 502, Frannie Cratin displays her paintings influenced by her life-long study of cultures within her travel sketchbooks, personal photographs, and life experiences. Across the hall in Suite 505, William Koch has his stone and bronze sculpture on display along with his large paintings on canvas and paper. Yves-Richard Blanc works in Suite 516 where he develops high-quality and creative photography solutions and fine art portraits for diverse clients. In Suite 545, Dorothy Keller exhibits her large, colorful paintings of still life and seascapes in her studio space. Sculptor David Durner works in Suite 551 where he specializes in full-size bronze figurative sculpture.

Also open for the Artist Reception on Saturday, December 7, 2024, are two large suites used by groups of artists. Welcoming visitors in Suite 553 will be Barbara Hart, a multimedia artist who focuses on portraiture and wooden sculpture; Tracy Mendicino, an abstract artist who works with paint and mixed media; Rosie Molik, who is a painter; and Valerie Fahey, a collage artist. Suite 546 houses four artists including Gretchen Berwick, whose work focuses on the diverse patterns found in nature, and Ginny O’Brien who is a painter and mixed media fiber artist with expertise in the field of arts in healthcare. Sharing this large space is also Darcie Rosinski who creates narrative art inspired by nature and Allyson Hilton, originally a jeweler, who is expanding her practice to include painting and drawing.

Shirley Verrico, Visual Arts Director notes, “Buffalo Arts Studio brings folks together around art and community. We are excited to expand this wonderful holiday event across the whole fifth floor of Tri-Main Center. Original artwork makes the perfect gift and we always encourage people to shop local!”

Gift certificates for classes and artwork are also available in the gift shop.
