Youth Life Drawing with Nico Galuszka

Students will draw clothed life models to enhance observational drawing skills by gaining a better understanding of anatomy, proportion, and perspective as they relate to the human form. This drawing class is excellent for teens who are serious about their art education and are preparing a portfolio for college. Supplies & model fee included.

Youth Mixed Media with Nico Galuszka

Experiment with works on paper using a variety of mixed-media. This course focuses on the development of perspective drawing skills in combination with the use of other media. This workshop introduces students to safe, nontoxic methods in printmaking to combine with drawings that don’t require a press and that can be applied outside of the studio. Unexpected results are encouraged as a means of fostering new ideas. Supplies included.

Intermediate Drawing with Laike Palermo

Acrylic Painting with Shanel Kerekes

Mixed Media with Maddie Bartley Gambacorta

This workshop is for all levels and presents drawings as a creative process to practice focus, mark making, and hash out ideas. Students will be creating a series of drawings with the use of paint, stencils, color pencils, thread, watercolors and inks. The intent of this workshop is to explore and loosen up your art making through testing out a variety of materials on multiple sheets of paper. The instructor will share her techniques of building layers and experimenting with drawing tools to gradually develop with each work. A series of small 5 by 7 inch drawings on paper become a way to exercise your artistic expression. At the end of the workshop, participants will have created a series of mixed media works on paper. Figure Drawing with Laike Palermo

This class will focus on interpreting the human body through drawing fundamentals based on Classical Realism. Learning to create various effects of light, shadow, spatial depth and form by developing a competent technical skill set in drawing. Models will pose for short 20 minutes to 3 hour poses.
